Integrity in support, flexibility in our size.

My passion for caregiving began when I first started working. I worked in a preschool for kids who needed a little more support than others. I've tried my hand at elder care and then in 2001, I applied as a support professional based on a poster I saw driving to school every day. I loved the work and haven't looked back since. It quickly became clear to me that there were a few things missing in the IDD support world.
First is choice. Particularly in small towns, the choices for neurodiverse adults is very limited. When there aren't many providers, there isn't much competition. Second is strong support for people with serious support needs for emotional regulation and mental health. My years of service have taught me that the GOLD STANDARD for care is a small setting with rotating 24/7 staffing. After agonizing over the lack of options for care, it became my life goal to ensure that we offered this model.

Billing Specialist, notice the last name? This is Mallory’s husband. He likes to be referred to as such. When Mallory decided she could do all the things, but not do all the things well, she gave her least favorite part of the job up to Justin. He crunches the Medicaid billing and waits on hold for answers as long as it takes. He also has years of experience in caregiving, managing and leading homes. In his spare time, he just does a few things like having a full-time career outside PursueJoy.
